His eyes have a white spot on them, and are swollen. He keeps his eyes closed and does not want to open them. He is not eating like he should. What is wrong with him, what should I do?
He has a vitamin A deficiency. Vet gave him some cream for his eyes that are to be used 2-3 times a day for a week. Also have to give him injections of an antibiotic once every 3 days for a total of 9 injections ? this is not an easy task. He is usually a very mellow turtle but let me tell you, at the time of the injection, his head comes out and he tries to bite. We also need to feed him green vegetables. His tank has been completely cleaned out (was not a problem, it is kept clean anyway). The vet did say that it is a long process to get his eyes better, could take months, but she also said this is very common in turtles. My poor little turtle, but at least he is on the road to recovery.

time for the vet by: Anonymous
Your pet is sick and needs to see a vet. In the mean time, thoroughly clean the whole environment. You don't want whatever is causing this to have a chance to start the problem all over again.
