Alfafa meal bugs

I bought a land tortoise kit. Inside is this Alfafa meal stuff that you lay at the bottom of tank! There are weevils in it or what look like weevils. Can they harm our tortoise? or will the tortoise just eat them?

It depends on what type of tortoise you have, but to be safe for your pets I wouldn't use it. Too much protein for any Tortoise can deform their shell.
