Can my spur-thighed tortoise recognise me?

Can he? Every time I say his name (Yoshi) he perks up and looks at me! I love him and it would be so cool if he recognises my face.

I think your tortoise can recognize you. Some tortoises can come when called. It seems like yours is one of them.
