I frequently let my Sulcata out of his cage to play in my living room (on the carpet.) I never leave him unsupervised though and it's always a good idea to be sure there isn't anything he will try to eat that may be laying around on the carpet. I have done this with mine since I first got him about 5 months ago and he really enjoys getting out of his cage to play. :) I also take him out to my front yard on nice days and let him get some fresh air and sunlight...Again though, I never let him out unless I am right there to watch him especially since he is still a very young sulcata. Just keep in mind if you have treated your carpet recently with any type of cleaners it may be a good idea not to let him on the carpet as it could hurt him. Hope that helps. :)
