desert tortises and cat

I have had 2 desert tortises for about 3 years. I also have two dogs. The dogs have never bothered the tortises. We recently acquired a kitten that is now about 9 months old. The tortises came out of hybernation today. Do you think the cat will bother the tortises?

it might think of them as toys, but you can train a cat not to attack the tortoises by spraying a bit of water every time it tries to attack the tortoises
