Do I have to buy another one?

I have a pair of star tortoises. Early this morning, one had died. Do I have to buy another one so that it has friend?

No, you don't have to buy another one.

Do you know why one died? Was it ill? If it had a contagious disease, you will need to have the remaining one checked out.
