mixing breeds of tortoises

I currently have a hermans tortoise and have been asked to take a horsefield, can they both go in together or would I need another viv?

Mixing Tortoise Breeds

It's best not to mix the breeds.

For one thing, different tortoises need different environments. For another, they can pass diseases around. They don't have the same immunities. They also have different temperaments and may not play nicely together.

If you do have two breeds, keep them separate.

Keep it slow and steady.
