My russain tortoise is making a "breathing in noise" through his nose

My male russian tortoise was in his cage yesterday and all of a sudden i hear a noise humans would make if they were breathing in through their noses, i'm kind of worried, because i got him only a month ago. And i've been feeding him salad mix/spring mix from Wegmans everyday, and green peppers. and I cant use my grass because my Dad puts poison on it :/ soo can you please help.. Thankkkks. By the way my name is Kenzie :)

Ok, sounds to me like respiratory problem as well.
In his enclosure, he needs a few things, a cool side of 75 degrees during day, and a basking area of 90 degrees...now if healthy, drop the temperature at nighttime to low 70's..... if sick or a baby, keep temps upper 80's, low 90's at nighttime to help rebuild his immune system Hopefully you have caught this early..and he continues to improve, eat and get healthy again, if this is not the case, then yes you would have to seek medical help for some antibiotics...sincerely, Susan...

Russian Tortoises

Look at your Russian and see if there is any seepage coming out of his nose, also when listening to his breathing, see if you hear any wheezing or if he seems to have limited breathing. Are there bubbles coming from his nose? He may be having respitory problems. If so you will need to get him to a Vet asap.
