I just noticed that my female red-eared slider is very bloated and her skin has a very pinkish cast to it. She can't get her back legs tucked into her shell at all. Since it's very late I can't get her to a vet right away. I read a comment on another web page that mentioned that it might just be a circulation problem and to let her walk a bit out of the tank and that everything would revert to normal, but it seems more serious to me. I am also finding comments that mention septicemia and kidney disease. Any help you have to offer would be appreciated. We're very worried.
