I have had my tort 3 weeks and suddenly isnt eating. what can I do, I have NO $$$ to take a trip to the vet. What can I try? I dont think she is drinking her water either. Help
They do not like extreme temperatures, 70 - 80 F during daytime is ideal, they will eat for long periods of time, grasses, romaine lettuce, hibiscus leaves etc... and will enjoy a rock for basking., lower temps during the nighttime, 65-75F.. I think the consistency of temperature during the day will help encourage him to eat....I hope this helps, sincerely, Susan....

have you been soaking her in real warm water, as to allow her to potty? this is just an idea maybe she needs help on that end as to get her appetite back again. hope this helps you. good luck!(soaking maybe 20-30minutes for the first time) then again when she is regulated, couple times a week.(smile)
