Russian tortoise growth

Hi i have had my russian tortoise for about 3 months the reptile shop said that he is a one year old. lately i have noticed white lines appearing around the markings on his shell. He is acting completely normal hasn't gone off his food at all but is eating more than normal is he growing. i'm new to tortoises.
