tortoise appetite

my tortoise doesn't eat properly. when we had bought him at that time he used to eat nicely but after sometime he stopped eating properly and so we started feeding him with our hands. the problem is he has formed this habit and doesn't even a single piece by himself and we have to sit with him for hours for his eating. please help

I don't know why your tortoise stopped eating. If your tortoise is otherwise healthy, just provide food as usual and the tortoise will eat when hungry.

If the tortoise doesn't eat and is not getting ready to hibernate, you should consult a veterinarian.
