tortoise not eating!

my russian tortoise/horsefeilds tortoise is not eating at all. He is soaking in his water dish but i don't think he is drinking it. I got him 2 days ago so i don't know if he is just getting used to his new suroundings or he is sick. My question is, why is my tortoise not eating and will he eat soon?

Russian Tortoise Not Eating

It's impossible to say whether this is just a time of adjustment or a sick pet. Keep a close eye on things. If another day or two go by without the tortoise eating anything, see a vet.

Be sure you have proper heating and lighting. A tortoise can't digest food if it's too cold.

Keep it slow and steady.
