my hermans is 2 years old and when i get home from work he is on his back asleep but awakens when i put him on his belly ..... this was for like 8 ours and he is perfectly fine.

I just found my tortuous on her back I got soo worried coz I didn't know how king she had been there for it was 12.00 midnight and I'm worried to find her again on her back I hope that if I go to work and come back and she is on her back she will still be ok .

My new tortoise got stuck yesterday on her side between the log and side of her container. She was mad when i got home from work and got her out. She didnt eat dinner last night and went to sleep earlier then usual, should i be worried or think it was just the stress of the day??? thanks for any help...

I can't say how long exactly, but for sure more than 45 minutes. They used to live on their backs in sailing ships. They were being kept as fresh meat. So for sure that would have been days, if not weeks. With smaller animals, the time is probably shorter, but I'm pretty sure it's more than 45 minutes.

i was told for 45 mins, then he will go into shock cause of the stress he is under, no info any where re-guarding this issue...my baby tortoise falls on his back every day and its stressing me out, do you have any idea's?
