tortoise shells look like they are splitting

i have noticed that my tortoise shells ,especially the notches that are made when they are growing look they are splitting . is this ok or does it mean that they r growing too fast mike

mike - i have never had this problem but if it looks like their shell is splitting maybe a call at the vets is in order.

alternativly check their diet - no beans or meats, - just grass weeds etc.

also do you provide a source of calcium to help the shell grow?

do you provide a high UVb tube to help the tortoise absorb calcium?
