Can a russian tortoise and a redfoot tortoise compatiable in the same incloser? Interested in buying a redfoot tortoise and want to make sure they will be ok in the aquarium.
Definitely not. Each tortoise lives in very different environments. The redfoot tortoise is a tropical species and requires more a humid environment, where as the russian is a mediterranean species and requires a far drier conditions, for example. As well as different diets etc.

Mixing Tortoise Breeds by: Shelly
It is not a good idea to mix tortoise breeds because they are immune to different diseases. That means one will carry a disease the other one can catch.
