wally's adventure

Wally, my tortoise, was in his area in the backyard we gave him a 2 day supply of food (he is only 3) and went camping for 2 days. When we got back he had escaped and (somehow) climbed some outdoor stairs and ran off.I was devastated and couldn't believe it. I was worried that he might starve but my dad said he would eat weeds and grass. We searched and searched everywhere in our garden, climbed some fences to search other gardens,and checked every bush. We couldn't even mow the lawn ( my dad did in the end )but still no sign of him. I spent a week looking and crying until one day,when i came home from my cousin's house our neighbor was standing in our front garden. I said hello and she said " I think your tortoise is coming home". I was so happy when she gave him back to us, my neighbor said he was on his way home anyway. We said thanks to her, gave wally some food and I cleaned his shell. We never found out how Wally got out but I think there are still quite a lot of secrets in that shell.
