WHen Does Tortoise Shit???

My friend gave me a tortoise. We give him to eat he eats it after one or two hours. Is there any specific time for that??? Moreover he shits all round the place. So is there any specific time, like does he only shits in morning so that we can keep him in garden in morning?? Does cat or Dog worry him???? Please reply.

You've got to be kidding, a Tortoise is an animal and craps when ever he needs to. Yes usually after eating, if you see his tail wagging from one side to the other it is a sign he is going to take a crap...Put him in an area that it doesn't matter if he goes or not,,,you can not train them to go when its convenience for you....if you want to be safe soak him in a shallow container with warm water,be sure their head is not submerged,they need to be able to still brethe, they will usually go after about 10-15 minutes and then they are usually done for awhile...
