Sorry it's skinn is yellow not it's shell, it has had a blood test and has Rhinitis but there is no cure or medicine for it.

Lettuce is not usually a good food for a tortoise, especially if it's iceburg lettuce. Most tortoises will do fine on wild grasses and weeds. Timothy (not alfalfa) hay is also usually a good choice.
Tortoises do not need protein. Your does need calcium. A cuttlebone will help. If he won't eat it, shave bits onto his food.
Given that you've been trying to feed him things like ham, I think you may need to see a vet to see exactly what is wrong. You'll have to start with what sort of tortoise you have, and move on from there with specifics of care.

Tortoise came from France 12 yrs ago when it was a baby to England it is now in Spain in my daughters apartment eats lettuce l dont know what else dont know what type it is, it is my brothers who went back to Enland for a while, why has the skin turned a bit yellow was on our land for a week or so and would eat grass,

What kind of tortoise do you have? Do you have any pics? What is your setup like? Temps on warm side, temps on cool side and humidity? Tortoises do not eat ham!! What else are you trying to feed?!
